Surprise has amounted more than the founder has expected. The city became a respected retirement community, along with the Sun Cities and Litchfield Park. As a retirement community, there are those in Surprise that could use a little extra funding in your pocket; That’s where West Valley Pawn and Gold comes in. With our pawn loans and title loans, we can help customers get back on their feet and not be ‘surprised’ again.

The History of Surprise, Arizona

As stated earlier, Surprise was called by that because its founder, Flora Mae Statler, “would be surprised if the town ever amounted to much.” The community was created in 1938 from farmland; it is now the premier recreational location in the Valley. With Surprise’s growth as a community, it was inevitable that this city would be a recreational paradise. It houses both the STRC (Surprise Tennis and Racquet Complex) and the Surprise Stadium. These complex have also hosted a variety of spring training for the Kansas City Royals and Texas Rangers. They have also hosted the Outback Champion Series (a United States Tennis Association championship) along with other major tours. Additional information about the history of Surprise can be found on their official website: There is also a video provided by this same site which we will bring to you here:

With all of these great recreational options, cost will start to come into play. That’s how West Valley Pawn can help. We are a pawn shop that specializes in giving out pawn loans to items that customers own. These can include gold, diamonds, estate jewelry, and more. We are also a store that has a variety and assortment of second hand electronics for purchase. We have TVs, Stereos, Gaming Systems, Cameras and Camcorders, and so much more. Finally, thanks to our partners at Phoenix Title Loans, we offer their title loans to any customers that need that extra boost in money.

How to Reach our Store

Surprisingly enough (no pun intended), the easiest way to reach us from Surprise is taking the AZ-303. Head south on the 303 until you reach the I-10 junction. From there, head EAST towards Phoenix and take Exit 129 heading South. Going from that point, you’ll see us on the left hand side; across from Agua Fria High School. If you see a TJ’s Restaurant, you went too far. Turn around and you’ll see us on the right this time. We also offer a West Valley Directory for this exact purpose. Simply choose the options that are right for you.
